The Peptide Profile
Collagen arrives as a long, tightly wound protein. Hydrolysis cuts it into shorter chains. How it is cut is what makes one collagen different from another, and it is the whole subject of this formula.
I
One collagen, named
Codeage Glucose Support Collagen Peptides is built on one ingredient. It is Nextida GC™, hydrolyzed Type I and III collagen peptides from grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine. There is nothing else in the container. One ingredient, named in full, and no second thing standing beside it.
What follows is a reading of that ingredient: what hydrolysis does to collagen, what a peptide profile is, and why a named collagen is a different kind of statement from a generic one. It is a curation, not a claim.

Named in full.
Nextida GC™, hydrolyzed Type I and III collagen peptides from grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine.
The formula in four movements
Read plainly
One ingredient, described by what it is: the collagen, the cut, the types, and the format.
The ingredient
Nextida GC™
A named collagen ingredient, produced to a defined specification.
The cut
Hydrolyzed
Collagen broken into shorter peptide chains, producing a distribution of fragments rather than one molecule.
The types
Type I and III
Two of the collagen types most abundant in the body, drawn here from a single bovine source.
The format
Unflavored Powder
A powder with no flavor of its own, which stirs into water, coffee, tea, smoothies, or recipes.
II
What hydrolysis does
Collagen in its intact form is a long molecule: three chains wound around one another in a triple helix, the arrangement that makes it the body's most abundant structural material. Whole, it is large and largely insoluble. Stirred into a glass of water it would sit there.
Hydrolysis is the step that changes that. Water and enzymes cut the long chains at points along their length, and what emerges is a set of much shorter fragments called peptides. The result dissolves readily, and it carries no flavor of its own.
The consequence worth noticing is that a hydrolysate is never a single molecule. It is a population: peptides of many lengths, in proportions decided by how the cutting was done. Change the enzymes, the conditions, or the duration, and the population changes with it.
That distribution is what the phrase peptide profile refers to. It is a description of composition, and the research on collagen peptides has examined a great many such profiles.
The cut
A long chain,
made short
Hydrolysis turns one large molecule into a population of shorter ones. The proportions of that population are the profile.
III
Produced to a specification
Because a hydrolysate is a population rather than a single substance, naming it carries information. Nextida GC™ is produced to a defined specification, and is identifiable as the same material from one container to the next.
The ingredient is Nextida GC™ collagen peptides from bovine, stated the same way every time.
The source is stated with the same precision. The bovine collagen is grass-fed and pasture-raised, which describes how the animals were kept rather than how the material performs. And the composition stops there: this is a one-ingredient formula, with no second active, no blend, and no proprietary total to interpret.

One ingredient, named in full, with its source and its types stated.
A hydrolysate is not a substance.
It is a population.
IV
Structural Integrity and the long view
Collagen is the body's most abundant structural material. It is the substance of the framework: the fibrous architecture running through skin, tendon, ligament, cartilage and bone, the material that gives tissue its shape and its tensile hold. Within the Longevity Code, that architecture is Structural Integrity, Pillar 02.
A note on precision, since it is often stated loosely: collagen is not a complete dietary protein. Its amino acid profile is distinctive rather than comprehensive, weighted heavily toward glycine, proline and hydroxyproline, the three that recur through the triple helix. It is best understood as a structural material with a particular composition, not as a protein source in the general sense.
A pillar is a location in a framework. It places a formula among the four dimensions Codeage writes about, and says nothing about an outcome.
The vocabulary
Named in full
The source, the hydrolysate, the types, and the format, described by what they are.

The Source
Grass-Fed Bovine
Collagen from grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine, describing how the animals were kept.

The Cut
Nextida GC™
A named hydrolyzed collagen, produced to a defined specification.

The Types
Type I and Type III
Two of the collagen types most abundant in the body, present here from one source.

The Format
Unflavored Powder
No flavor of its own, so it stirs into water, coffee, tea, smoothies, or recipes.
One ingredient
Nothing else
in the container
A single named collagen, unflavored, with no second active and no blend to interpret.
V
How it is built
Adults mix one scoop daily, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner, with 8 to 12 ounces of water or another beverage. The powder is unflavored, so it carries into coffee, tea, smoothies and recipes without altering them.
The ingredient line holds one entry: Nextida GC™ collagen peptides from bovine.
Formulated without dairy, soy, or gluten. Non-GMO. Manufactured in the USA in a cGMP-certified facility with global ingredients. Codeage formulates with respect for these foundations, within a framework built to reflect how the research has come to understand the body.
One named collagen, and nothing else.
