What is undenatured collagen?
Collagen is a naturally occurring protein in the body that can help to provide structure and strength to tissues such as skin, bones, and cartilage.* There are different types of collagen, but the most common type is known as Type I collagen. This type is found in abundance in the skin, where it provides a natural framework for cells.
Some forms of collagen are heat-treated to make them more stable and easier to work with. This process of heat-treating the collagen is called denaturing.
Undenatured collagen is a type of protein that has not been treated with heat. This means that it could still contains some of the important amino acids and other nutrients needed support ours cell and certain types of regeneration.*
